I'll willing to bet you didn't know this: September 23 is Dogs in Politics Day, recognizing the dogs of politicians. Hmmm.
How can you get in the spirit? How about checking out an exhibit at the Newseum in Washington, DC, called "First Dogs: American Presidents and Their Pets." The exhibit "showcases some of the top dogs who have resided at the nation's most prestigious address. On display are images of dogs belonging to 23 presidents, including the newest addition: Bo — a gift to the Obamas from the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy." I will try not to look when it comes to the one of Lyndon Johnson.
The exhibit runs through 2012.
