Columbia Dogs on the Go was started in 2008 as a Meetup.com group that featured group dog walks in the Columbia and Howard County areas of Maryland. By 2010, Columbia Dogs on the Go had more than 800 members and continues to grow.
In 2011, the Columbia Dogs on the Go organizers launched a new website that features maps, lists of walks and dog-friendly places to eat, a book store, news updates, calendar of events, classified ads, and more.
Columbia Dogs on the Go was started by Mary Love. The Loves share their home with their two Havanese, Riley and Cody.
